Study English first, then your main course
English courses (the sector calls them ELICOS) work two ways: as a goal in themselves, or as the pathway into your main course when your test score is not there yet.
English study changes the entry bar
The student visa's standard English requirement is IELTS 6.0. Pair your main course with English study and the bar moves: 5.5 with at least 10 weeks of English, or 5.0 with at least 20 weeks (July 2026 settings). For many students that is the difference between "not yet" and "enrolled this year".
Packaged properly, one visa
English + main course can be packaged so your whole plan sits on one student visa. We arrange the package with the provider, and your English weeks are set by your actual test score.
