A visa refusal is not always the end
Many visa refusals and cancellations can be reviewed by the Administrative Review Tribunal (ART), an independent body that takes a fresh look at the decision. Two things matter most: not every decision is reviewable, and the time limit to apply isshort and strict, counted from the date on your decision letter.
What the ART does
The Tribunal reviews the decision fresh. New evidence can be considered, and it can affirm, vary or remit the decision. Whether review is available, and on what basis, depends entirely on your specific decision and circumstances.
Why speed matters
Review deadlines are fixed by law, differ by decision type, and generally cannot be extended. If you have received a refusal or cancellation, do one thing today: get the decision letter in front of a registered professional.
This work belongs to a Registered Migration Agent — and that is who handles it here
Review applications are individual migration assistance, which in Australia may only be provided by a registered migration agent or Australian legal practitioner. Through Studyaway's Registered Migration Agent access, your situation is assessed by someone qualified to act, including telling you plainly when a review is not the right move.
General information only. Not migration advice and not an assessment of your case. Review rights and deadlines depend on your specific decision; confirm yours with a registered professional without delay.
